I took a walk today with my mom at a nature preserve. Part of the trail lingers off into the woods. I love the bright green moss on the trees.

Arachnids - Day 17

I found this little fella hangin' out on my fireplace screen. I seem to be finding many like him around the house lately. I'm not liking this one bit. I decided to let this one live though-I was in a giving mood I guess.

Stuffed Peppers - Day 16

I decided to try a "healthy" version of Stuffed Peppers for dinner tonight. They were stuffed with ground turkey and brown rice. Baked until bubbly and delicious!

Red Velvet - Day 15

Ahhhhh, behold the Red Velvet cupcake. Look at the dark rich red color cake with it's sweeping dollop of cream cheese frosting sprinkled with red sugar and then dusted with sweet cocoa powder. I can't even begin to tell you how good these are.

Mystery Flower - Day 14

This is an awesome mystery flower that is in my cousin Rachel's front yard. The blooms actually hang upside down; I have never seen anything like this. I had to lay down on my back in her flower bed and take this shot. Does anyone know what this is?

Grumpy's - Day 13

I went to lunch today at Grumpy's downtown. I ordered a succulent ham and cheddar cheese wrap with fresh pineapple and romaine lettuce layered with a dijonnaise sauce; all encased in a soft flour tortilla. Need I say more?

Mud Hens - Day 12

I went to the Toledo Mud Hens game tonight with some friends. It was really cold. The hot dog and french fries with ranch dip warmed me up though. The hot dog bun was really toasty...just like the Dairy Queen hot dog buns. So good.

Flowers - Day 11

These are some blooms of the bush that sits next to my front porch. It's too bad that it doesn't stay this way all season.

Love-40 - Day 9

I played tennis this morning for the first time this year. It was great to get back on the courts, and it was fun taking this picture! I probably won't be able to move tomorrow, but it was worth it. And no, I didn't win.

Basil and Thyme and Parsley...Oh My! - Day 8

Here are the herbs I bought today for my new herb garden! Basil, rosemary, lemon thyme, and parsley. I can already smell the homemade pesto, rosemary rubbed pork loin, lemon thyme roasted chicken breast, and pasta with fresh parsley sprinkled on top.....yummmmm.

Crankiness - Day 7

Well, I got out of work late and then came home to find a piece of siding on my house falling down. Needless to say I was cranky. Therefore what do I do? That's right, eat. This was my after dinner snack. Can anyone guess what these delicious little gems are?

Rain Rain Go Away - Day 6

It had only been raining for about 2 hours and there was flash flooding...notice the white van under the Bob Evans sign-it was stuck! I have to say I was thankful that I was riding in a Jeep tonight-my Altima would never had made it through...

Pretty in Pink - Day 5

This is the Japanese Cherry Blossom tree in my front yard. I wanted to get a picture because two days from now all of these pretty pink blooms will be laying on the grass.

Spring Has Sprung - Day 4

This is a bud from the Magnolia bush that is in my mom's front yard. This was one of the last buds yet to bloom, I caught it just in time.

Happy Easter! I found this lonely little green Easter egg sitting in the grass. This one got left behind during the Easter egg hunt my mom had for the kids.

Hungry - Day 2

Meet Hungry. He is the Weight Watchers mascot...he doesn't like it when people lose weight. I went to my meeting this morning and lost 3 pounds! I don't think he was very happy about it, he managed to escape from my car and I found him hiding under my entertainment center...trying to entice me with a Red Velvet cupcake. (You can't see the cupcake because it is in my belly...I guess Hungry won today).

Rummy 500 - Day 1

Ok. So here is my blog. I never thought I would have one of these, but it is 2010, so I figured I would get with the times. I set this up because I am starting a new project. It is something called Project 365...basically what I have to do is take a picture each day for one year. I have decided to display my pics using a blog rather than just putting them in an album so I can share them with everyone. Feel free to comment, judge, laugh at, and critique my pics openly! I love taking pictures and I am always taking pics of the silliest things and trying to be artsy-fartsy with them. Oh-and here is my disclaimer....there will lots of pics involving food. Enjoy!
